Anita Celdran

Ms. Celdran has 15 years experience in policy advocacy, training and evaluation of sustainable energy and environmental programs. In 1997, she worked for the International Institute for Energy Conservation in Washington D.C., coordinating the climate change outreach program funded by the US EPA, including CDM consultation workshops in developing countries. She joined the Civil Engineering Research Foundation as a project manager of the Environmental Technology Evaluation Center supervising the evaluation of several innovative environmental technologies, and seconded as the Energy Program Advisor for the USAEP secretariat in Washington D.C. She worked in the Environment Division of the World Bank conducting an evaluation of “stakeholder participation” in the GEF’s Climate Change portfolio. Before taking residence in the United States, Ms. Celdran was the National Campaigns Manager of Green Forum-Philippines, organizing grassroots events, planning and consultation workshops on sustainable development and training seminars on ecological solid waste management for local governments. She is currently the Program Director for the Smokey Mountain Remediation and Development Program for the Poverty Alleviation and Environment Program of the Asian Development Bank. Ms. Celdran holds an MA in international development policy from Duke University, USA.
